The race track has the potential to run four different configurations and two of those, the east and west circuits, will be able to operate simultaneously. The Challenge ran on the West circuit which includes a one kilometre front straight. The facilities are excellent but there was a lot to learn about running at this venue. The undulating nature of the track meant that eleven flag points needed to be operating and although there was some concern prior to the event the response from MGCC and other clubs was amazing. No flag point had less than three people in it. On the day there were sixty officials signed on from MGCC SA & Vic, MSCA, MX-5 Club, Alfa Romeo, Austin Healey, SAMROA and many more. Thank you very much to all who made Sunday morning competitors converged on The Bend Motorsport Park outside Tailem Bend. This is a completely new motor racing circuit which opened in April 2018 and will, when complete, include racing circuits, skidpan, drag strip, 4WD adventure park, drift track, go kart track, air strip and accommoda- tion.
