INAUGURAL PERPETUAL TROPHY
PRESENTATION
PRESERVING THE MG MARQUE AWARD
Awarded to BOB BAZZICA
The trophy was generously donated by Peter Auld, and presented by the MG
Car Club of SA
When Peter Auld joined the MG Car Club in 1958, there was a strong empha-
sis on competition.
Over the years as the vehicles got older and competition became less domi-
nant and the club ideals changed, in 1993 the club constitution was amended
to represent the change of direction and to include ‘to foster the restoration,
preservation and maintenance of MG cars and to encourage their display and
use’.
With this in mind, it was felt that the recognition of members’ outstanding con-
tribution to these club ideals should be acknowledged.
The inaugural presentation was made at the Club’s Monthly General meeting
on November 13 th , 2018 based on the following:
Maintenance
To acknowledge a members’ contribution towards the maintenance of MG
Cars to the benefit of all MG Car Club members.
Preservation
To recognise a member of the club whose efforts and contribution assists in
preserving MG Cars.
Restoration
To award and acknowledge personal input into the process of an outstanding
restoration.
