December 2018
Competitors were supported by family
and friends; Sandra Cardnell, Faye
Edwards, Edwards family, Jamie Man-
ning, Heather Bolt, Alexander Hick. All
provided interesting comments and
feedback.
Round 1 went with many setting good
times and getting the cob webs out. Un-
fortunately for Rodney Gibb, the mighty
ZT V8 had a driveshaft vibration forcing
an early retirement.
Round 2 and the cars and drivers get-
ting better times. Unfortunately for Tim
Edmonds in his GT V8 had brakes fad-
ing and withdrew.
We had Bev Waters doing documenta-
tion & timing, Berry Treffers doing
Start / Finish, Bill Gilson & Sandra
Cardnell taking photos. Logon to

Round 3 after lunch and the sprinting
getting more competitive. Unfortunately
Nick Philips in his MGB suffered a
driveline failure and withdrew. During
this round Gary Bolt’s GT V8 had prob-
lems with the throttle cable, but was
able to do a temporary fix and continue
on.
Laurie Houghton also popped in to see
the sprinting and give advice to some
of the competitors.
Thanks to the MSCA for a great Motor
Sport sprint season during 2018. In
2019 the 1 st sprint is in March, with a
proposed round at the ‘Bend’ in June.
Round 4 had some competitors finish-
ing for the day, but the others continued
on.
