MID WEEK LUNCH RUN NEWS From Diane Holmes
Thursday 9 February , 2017 .
orty-one degrees was forecast so only one MGF was present on the day and it didn ’ t quite finish the run . It was cool when we met at the Crafers Inn and we travelled down Greenhill Road in air conditioned cars to the venue at the Tea Tree Gully Golf Club . When we visited there a couple of years ago , we were very impressed with the food & service , but most of all the acoustics excel at this venue .
On our arrival at the golf club David had a call from our security monitoring service - as we were close to home we drove back to check it out . Along this stretch of road Gary & Jenice were waiting patiently in the shade for the arrival of the tow truck . We pulled over to talk with them & they expressed their gratitude for the help they ’ d received from the lunch runners in their time of need . The problem that had stopped them was a burnt-out rotor button .
In April we will be moving the lunch run to the first Thursday for this month only – due to the Easter holidays .
Next mid week lunch run will be on 9 March , 2017 to The Barker Hotel meeting at the Arkaba Hotel , Fullarton from 10.30am and departing 11.30am .
