Motorsport Mutterings
n the past month Peregrine Corpora-
tion, owners of Mallala and The
Bend, called for expressions of interest
for events at their tracks in 2018. MGCC
has registered interest in the Queen’s
Birthday weekend for the Challenge and
MSCA has requested dates for super
sprints. As yet there has been no re-
sponse and it is understood they will
compile requests and notify clubs of
availability and costs when they are
ready.
The Multi Club Hillclimb series has fin-
ished and motorkhanas and sprints are
winding down.

site but the next upcoming events are
detailed below.
September 9 & 10 – South Australian
Hillclimb Championship, Collingrove
Entries have closed but this is a good
event to attend to see some great com-
petition and support our club members
competing. It is anticipated a number of
interstate entrants will be here to prac-
tice for the Australian Championship
later in the year.
Sunday 22 October – MSCA Super
Sprint Round 5, Mallala
Round 5 of the MSCA Super Sprint se-
ries will be held at Mallala on October
22 nd . This is the final sprint for the year
and entries will be lodged on CAMS
event entry system accessed via the
CAMS Members Portal.
October 26 to 29 – Australian Hill-
climb Championship
The Australian Hillclimb Championships
will be held on the weekend of October
28 & 29 with practice on the Thursday
and Friday before.
This event attracts the fastest hillclim-
bers in the country and generally a num-
ber of records are broken. Come out to
watch and support the locals.
Friday 8 December –
Shannons Adelaide Rally
MGCC SA is managing the stages at
The Bend on 8 December and this will
be the first event at The Bend. If you

It will be an early start and early finish
and you will be given a free pass to the
Adelaide Motorsport Festival on the Sat-
urday and Sunday.
