MG Car Club of South Australia PRE-WAR & T REGISTER From...John Bray 1 June 2017 I SAy , I SAy ! Held at 6 Mills street Clarence Park home of Robert and Beverly Horn and home to five T Register vehicles in what has been described previously as Alad- din’s Cave and the Horn of Plenty. Ac- tually TD Mc Nabb was eagerly looking forward to a “horny” night surrounded by those beautiful motor vehicles. Actu- ally , he was right on the money as Robert is known to his mates outside the car club as “Horny “ and is quite com- fortable with that title . Horny and Bev put on another magnifi- cent night for the 37 members that signed into the book and we thank them sincerely for their efforts. I am not sure how manty T Types were jammed into the front driveway, certainly spillage out into Mills Street was achieved under the direction of ex traffic officer Buckley and his side kick Martin but more on them later. 18 Register vehicles in total present on the night. Apologies. Missing in action again this month in- cluded but not limited to the following: Brian Forth, Mike Lyons, David McNaughton , Paul Oliver, John Tamke, Leigh Ritcher, The Kraut, Doc Whyatt Erp, David Kemp, AC Pearson .Com, Geoff McLean ( Footy) and Don Walker ( I SAy, I SAy ! ) 20 Sincere thanks. Secondly to Heather & Chris Bennett for the lovely flowers presented to Bev , a nice gesture from them both on behalf of all present, great I Say ! Third, Ian Curwen –Walker off the wagon, provided a bottle of Peter Leh- man shiraz for us to share, jolly good show I Say.. Finally, yes everyone managed to sign the book this month, amazing achieve- ment ! Not so sincere thanks. To the Serial Pest for trying to take over the meeting, but at least it was good that he made the effort to come along and attempt to drive us all mad. Historic Winton Bob Schapelli Racing Schapel drove at Winton with moderate success, second in his class. The old TC ran beautifully over the weekend , Andrew Willington and myself acted as his pit monkeys which gener- ally involved moving the deck chairs in the garage and pulling the corks out of the bottle at the end of the day.
