T
ALL MGA DAY –
SUNDAY 13 TH AUGUST 2017
o coincide with All MGA Day in the
UK, the West Australian and our
club are holding our own version of
MGA Day. The aim is to get as many
MGA’s to Balhannah for a group photo
and then send this photo to the UK with
a short summary of the day for inclusion
in the MG Magazine, Safety Fast.
We will meet at Beaumont Road (off
Greenhill Rd) at 10 am and set off for
David Wick’s property at Balhannah,
Wicks Rd, Balhannah. He has an MGA
and we are invited to view his father’s
collection of restored cars and visit his
1850’s cottage museum. (NB – David
has no toilet facilities available so he
recommends the local oval before or
after our visit – just down the road).
The cars (MGA’s and Magnettes) will be
set out for the photo to be sent to the
UK. Other MG types are welcome and
we will take a second photo of the entire
roll-up for the day. A photographer or
photographers will be needed.
You
can’t rely on me to remember to bring
my little Samsung! And, if David Arch-
dall climbs any ladders or onto a roof,
watch him carefully. He will have just
recovered from two broken wrists and
some broken ribs after falling from a per-
gola a few weeks ago.
We will end our day with lunch at the
Balhannah Hotel at about 12.30 or 1 pm.
I would appreciate it if you could let me
know if you are attending. I can then
advise the Hotel of lunch numbers.
