the same could be said of this venture.
All of this experience naturally led to a
supermarket at Orroroo followed by an-
other at Birdwood which they ran until
they retired.
In 1997 Peter was diagnosed with pros-
tate Cancer which had already spread.
He was given two years to live. In trie
Ivey style, he lived for another twenty
years with the dedication of his doctors,
the love and care of Elaine and his posi-
tive attitude. He lived well and packed a
lot into those last twenty years.
He was a nice man, a genuine bloke
and one of those great characters who
made this club what it is today. I do not
expect to se his like again.
