Backstage Interview with Erich Gonzales

On June 14th at the Philippine Day
Festival in Nor th Vancouver, stood
hundreds of fans awaiting the appearance
of Filipino megastar, Erich Gonzales.
People swarmed the stage, left, right, and
front with adoration and happiness on their
faces. Erich gave a wonderful performance,
singing the songs “Blank Space” by Taylor
Swift and “Love You like a Love Song” by
Selena Gomez.
After the show, I was privileged to
meet and interview Erich Gonzales. The
gorgeous 24 year old actress/model
from Davao City, Philippines is known for
her leading roles in “Katorse,” “Tanging
Yaman,” “Suddenly It’s Magic” and “Juan
dela Cruz”.
Visiting Vancouver for the second time
in three years, Erich said that she loves
everything about Vancouver. “The people
here are all so warm and they’re all so
nice,” Gonzales said. “The food I also like
- so delicious.”
Celebrating the Philippine Day Festival
in North Vancouver, Erich expressed why
she is proud to be Filipino. “I’m very proud
to be Filipino because of our traits. I think
we’re very hospitable and that no matter
what happens we never forget to smile and
be thankful for everything.”
During the interview you can see
her many adoring fans surrounding the
backstage area trying to get just a glimpse
of the beautiful superstar. She spoke
humbling words, directed to her loving
fans saying, “I love them, too! I just want

to say thank you very much for all the love
and support. I can’t thank you enough for
everything and I’m just really happy to be
here.”
To conclude the interview, she gave

inspiring advice to anyone who dreams of
pursuing a career such as hers. “Everything
happens in God’s time. Just trust God and
do your best in everything. If it’s your time,
it’s your time. Dreams are not dreams for
everyone and they will all come true.”
It was such an inspiring experience and
the biggest pleasure to be able to meet
and interview the gorgeous and humble
superstar, Erich Gonzales.
