Mike: Do you feel because of the bands message, you connect at times to your fans on a higher level, where they will turn to you for direction and advice?
Gerard: I have a lot of people that hit me up on my personal Facebook page that are going through things or maybe a lyric touched them. They know who we are and just need something, and we are trying to be positive people. Every once in a while I get people that are continuously hit me up when they are trying to work through something and that's what it's all about. So I encourage everyone to add me on Facebook, I hit my friend cap, but I check my other message box all the time to make sure everyone has someone to talk to. Someone has to be there for you, and I am definitely down to be that person.
Mike: What are some other things you have coming up that you want your fans and readers to know about?
Gerard: We are hitting the West Coast with "Like Monroe" who are from Houston and "The Animal In Me". Then we are going to have routing dates back to a festival we are going to play with "Kublai Khan" in Texas called Reckless In Texas Music Festival. Right now we are working on our summer tours, but we have confirmed Sunshine Festival, Life Fest and those fests are Christian music festivals. so that's what we have going on for the summer. We are just trying to tour as much as possible to cap off the "Written In Blood" tour cycle. Hopefully in the fall, we will be back in the studio to record our next album, put it out in the spring and do it all over again.
Mike: Last question, and probably a very important one for you. What would you like to say to your fans as well as folks hearing your music for the first time?
Gerard: Well first off, thank you for taking the time to read the article and thank you to Metal Onslaught Magazine for everything. We appreciate the fans time and if you are into the music, we just put our first record out last August and we are hoping to put out another one next year.
