This month, we have had the remarkable chance to review Angelus Apartrida’s album, “Hidden Evolution”. This band hails from Albacete, Spain. The band was originally formed in 2000 and this is their fifth studio album. Beginning the first track of this album "Immortal", they managed to hook me on their sound. The music reminded me of the great metal bands of my youth. Made me remember fondly listening to Megadeth over and over as a teenager. However, when the vocals kick in I quickly realized this is a band for the modern era of metal.
This album is an abundant blend of all that is great from the metal of the 80's and 90's with the powerful vocals of today. Tracks like "Architects" and "Hidden Evolution" hit hard and gets your blood flowing. My favorite track on the album is "I Owe You Nothing". It’s a powerful and energized song that I have listened to multiple times since receiving the album. Overall, this is one of those albums you can listen to from beginning to end and never feel the need to skip a track. I highly recommend picking up this album; you will not be disappointed.
