CHRIS AND DAWN: We want our readers to get to know, The J.P.P. Tell us a little bit about you.

RR: Well, The J.P.P. was born in January of 2012 on a cold concrete slab in Kathleen, FL.

We are currently HQ’d in the kennels and dungeons of Bradenton in Sea Cow County.

The band consists of a collective of 6 musicians from the Central Florida area.

Rob Rinker- Vocalist

“Uncle” Joey Meadows –Left Guitar

Josh Abbott - Right Guitar

Fozzy Rinker – Bass

Jesse “Tuna Fumbles” Tanyer - Drums

And (our mostly absent at live shows member) Sugar Shayne – Keyboards.

RR: We have all been playing in local bands and clubs in Florida for the past twenty some years in the bands: Rinker, Massive Head Wound, F.U.Z, Sofa Slugs, Swamp Ape, Head-Cleaner and quite a few others. We all have this weird energy/drive and a great love for music and having fun.

FR: We are a bunch of old fucks that refuse to stop, kinda like the Rolling Stones of central FL. Welcome to Costco. I love you.

CHRIS AND DAWN: OMG that’s awesome. Gotta love Idiocracy!!! Fozzy is just straight up! You do have a very eclectic group. But that’s the fun of it. If you were all too much alike, that would be pretty boring. The J.P.P. always brings a hell of a party when they play a venue. You have some intense energy and you all seem like you are having a great time. Where do you get that drive?

JT: Drugs and alcohol.

RR: Insanity.

FR: We do it for fun; no other reason motivates us. When we play, we are having a blast so that shows.

CHRIS AND DAWN: Most definitely. You guys can rile up a room for sure. It’s always a good time at a J.P.P. show. Now we know that your music is just awesome, how would you describe your sound to someone who hasn’t had the pleasure of seeing one of your shows?

RR: Fun punk with catchy lyrics and sing-a-long choruses. It’s like that old skool punk with a new twist, but we can also knock down walls and melt faces with some brutal metal or good old Rock ’n Roll when called for.

CHRIS AND DAWN: Hell yeah! Couldn’t agree more with that. In fact, my favorite song right now by you guys is “My Heart Don’t Pump No Koolaid”. That song just rocks. The “Oooh yeeeeahh” in the song is awesome!

CHRIS AND DAWN: What is the origin of the name, “The J.P.P.?”
