How did you get your start in hip hop and what attracted you to this particular genre to express yourself and talent?

I started out doing spoken word. One day I was like "I really want to put my lyrics over instrumentals." It took some time to get used to rapping over beats since I was always doing it accapella. I just find that emotions I can't express easily in my everyday life I can always find a way to express in a song.

Can you explain the creative process in your lyrics and how it grows into a song?

I usually vibe out to a bunch of beats until I find one that really grabs me and speaks to the emotions I am feeling at that moment. When you find an instrumental that matches your mood the lyrics pretty much write themselves! Some of my songs are silly and fun, and some are deep and dark...we don't just feel one emotion so I want to give the audience a variety of tracks... they're bound to find one they can relate to!
