music
demands an
audience and
gets everyone
to get out of

and in front
of the stage.
We want our
readers to
know more
about The
Defiant. We know that the band formed back in 2010 and you guys have been rocking solidly since, tell us how this dynamic group got together.

None of your God Damn business!!! Just
kidding! Here's our story... When I was a Deputy Sheriff, my buddy Bill (also a Deputy) said to me one day out of the blue, “You should be the front man for a band.” Bill is a drummer
and has been
a musician his
whole life, so
therefore
totally
qualified to
make such a
fucking insane
statement! He
said come out
and jam with
him and a guy
he met on
Craigslist that
plays guitar (Doug). Mind you, I'd never been in a band before, so I said fuck it and went. That first night I wrote my first song, “Hellride”. Bill got deployed to Afghanistan a few months later; so I called an old friend I hadn't spoken with in a few years that I remembered played drums (Rick). The three of us worked for a few months and Doug then responded to an ad on Craigslist of a bass player looking for a band (Vince). The four of us worked together very well and practiced a lot! We went into Mana Studios and recorded our album before I ever played my first show, talk about ridiculous!
The Defiant is a band based out of St. Petersburg, Florida. They have been rocking the state of Florida and our great nation for over four years and are still going strong. Their heavy sound comingled with classic rock and punk give the listener’s ear a voyage that is unmatched. They have definitely made a large imprint on the Punk/Metal scene in Florida and continue to share their amazing riffs, crunchy bass, and thought provoking lyrics with fans all over the world.
We have recently been given the opportunity to sit down with Craig Hard Corr, The Defiant’s
front man and vocalist. This was a great interview, to say the least. We always love seeing Craig and the boys.
