So how's everything going down there?

N3: Everything is good, man.

Can you tell me a little bit about Smacktown,

how it was

formed, and

the meaning

behind the

name?

N3: Well, we

formed in

2007 and

kind of let

go of the

whole hip-hop

thing for awhile and started getting into the heavy electronic thing. It then started going into a heavy electronic metal and I thought I might start rapping to these fast paced beats. That's how we fell into what we have now. The name Smacktown is kind of like heroin, but you are addicted to the music you know what I mean?

Yeah man. I

have always

been a

electronica

fan as well,

growing up

with bands

like Ministry

and Skinny

Puppy, so I

slipped right

into your

music. I was thinking Jesus, where have THESE guys been? We are starting to see a lot of emergence of this type of music where hip-hop is blended with different genres of music and it's appealing to more people where straight hip-hop did not. Why do you feel artists are choosing to do this?

Charles M. Schulz once said "Don't worry about the world coming

to an end today. It is already tomorrow in Australia" I guess in a

way you could say Australia is in the future, but one things that

is in the future from the Land Down Under is the music

coming from Hip Hop / Electronic / Revolutionary band known

as SmackTown. They a part of a global revolution taking part in

the hip hop industry. Blending genres with Hip Hop and delivering a high

energy sound that engages your body and your mind. SmackTowns lyrics force the

listener to be aware of the things around us, open your mind, and challenge the norm.

Recently we where able to speak with N3 and ask him some questions about the band and where

SmackTown is headed.
