DDR: Can you explain the name Theory Of Thieves, the meaning etc?

Joel: The name of Theory of Thieves means that sub consciously we all no matter how hard we try... pull from our past to

create new music and write

new songs...nothing is ori-

ginal. Unless you were

raised in a box by silent ro-

bots and never heard music

or watched TV or did any-

thing but live, and then

wrote a song can you boast

it was an original song.

DDR: We know that the

band itself formed in late

2011, but how far back does

theidea of starting the band begin? How did it get its start and how did you meet?

Joel: I was signed by K2Records back in early 2011 as a solo artist. I was working on my album

and Karim the owner and my

long time friend was helping

me write and produce. Some

of the songs were a bit

heavier than I was going for

and and we decided to form a

band so we could play those

songs. We both k new Steve for years so Karim

called him and we started to

write. We had another friend

of ours Fonz play bass but he

was in like 18 projects and

we wanted someone who could have the

free free time to really write with
