Tery & Hays met after a kickball game on St. Patrick's Day. Tery played in the game while Hays watched. Following the game, the team along with several others went to downtown Little Rock to celebrate and drink green beer for the holiday. Hays & Tery conversed and really hit it off. Over the next month they went to several group events together. Soon their conversations turned into flirtations. The rest was history.

The couple got engaged in Hays' backyard after a nice dinner. A projector was set up to watch movies and in the middle of the movie, a slideshow began of the wonderful moments in their relationship. As the slideshow stopped, Hays dropped to one knee and proposed with a gorgeous ring in hand. A second proposal was made involving Hays' son Sebastian. With roses in hand Sebastian asked Tery to marry his daddy.

Hays & Tery enjoy and appreciate each other tremendously. Every moment is savored between them. The happy couple married at Garvin Gardens in Hot Springs, Arkansas on August 2, 2014.

The ceremony was quaint and intimate. Surrounded by the beauty of the wilderness,

family and close friends joined together to witness the Young's matrimony. Prior to the wedding ceremony was a family sand ceremony that Hays and Tery orchestrated. Their wedding color scheme was teal and burnt orange. The teal signifies Tery's survival of ovarian cancer. The couple summed up their evening with a laid back reception in North Little Rock.

Tery's Advice for Brides-to-be:

“There is so much planning that goes into a wedding and it does become stressful and can grow out of control very easily. You have to remember why you are getting married; to celebrate the love you share with that one amazing person you are going to spend the rest of your life with. Focus on what's important to you and your spouse. Try not to let outside opinions affect your choices. Most importantly, with all the time and effort you put into this day, something always happens, and it won't be perfect. No one is going to know other than you...just go with it and enjoy your special day.”
