is a bit of story going on. For the Downton shoot, the idea was that the young lady was preparing for her first ball or her debutante party, and her mother was assisting. Having a story helps connect to the intended audience, and also helps the girls pose - which can be daunting, and is more difficult than it looks.

Your website is categorized in four categories: Renaissance, 18th Century & Regency, Victorian & Edwardian, and 1920’s. Do you personally have a favorite time period and why?

I adore 18th century, but I'm getting more into the 1870's and 1880's bustle periods nowadays too. I've never stuck to just one period, though. I love 1930's, 1950's; and I started costuming in the Elizabethan, which will always hold a place in my heart. Fashion is fascinating in any time period (even

currently). As for our shoes, I love them all; and there are so many yet to do. I think my favorite shoe we've ever done is Tavistock button boots.
