Melbourne and how has it's exuberant creative vibe influenced your weaving?

I miss my family and friends the most. Melbourne will always be home to us. We plan on schooling our boys there so NYC will not be forever. I miss having a back yard. I miss being able to jump in the car and be in nature, at the beach or by a river in under an hour.

If you could meet any person from the past or present, who would it be and what would you ask them?

I would love to meet Kate Bush. She was an amazing singer and dancer with such an eclectic style and she still managed to achieve mainstream success. I would love to grab a few bottles of wine, sit by a river and get really drunk with her.

We miss you here in Australia! What’s on the cards for you and your phenomenal weaving business for 2015/2016?

Hopefully there will be an Australia trip in there somewhere!

The studio is growing organically. I have four lovely textile geniuses working for me now. I am the only one who does the weaving and teaches classes. They look after inventory, admin, retail, DIY projects, creating specialty yarn packs, sourcing looms and materials. We have just shot an online workshop that we hope to launch in a month or so. We have had so many requests from all over the world for online classes and now we finally have something to offer them. I hope to to a bit more touring, but with a toddler and now a new born, we will have to see how the year pans out.
