Humble Pie Cottage is available for a minimum two night stay.
Sitting quietly in the inner city suburb of Erskineville, Sydney, a pretty little former garage bearing the name "Humble Pie Cottage" is a mere stroll away from the character filled streets which you can venture easily to from the charming abode.
Having previously been used as a storage area at the back of Humble Pie House, the cottage was converted into a light filled space, perfect for the adventurous traveler to rest their head.
Humble Pie Cottage was created by Leesa and her husband Mark, owner of "Habitude", an award winning design and building company. Leesa says, "Our renovation idea for both Humble Pie House and Humble Pie Cottage was always to bring as much light into the home and cottage as possible and to open the spaces up as practically as we could....” Both the cottage and home were designed and constructed by the couple whilst both in other full time employment- Leesa a senior art buyer and Mark a project manager.
Being city dwellers, Mark and Leesa wanted to bring their love of nature into the cottage, filling it with treasures collected from beach walks, overseas travels, and inner city exploring through their neighbourhood. Self confessed "hunter gatherers", Mark and Leesa have artfully arranged the collected items into decorative vignettes displayed throughout their cottage and home.
The courtyard is a perfect place to sit and enjoy muesli drizzled with organic honey and fresh fruit, thoughfully provided by your hosts.
