What gives you love heart eyes? My philosophy is to invest in items I truly love, and by that I do not mean a temporary infatuation caused by overexposure to 'what's in'. I'm a sucker for that. Now what I do is walk away. If I still love it in a week and cannot stop thinking about it, I'll consider buying it. Take the time to work out what things make your heart beat a bit faster. It might be a stunning Moroccan rug or a classic French provincial dresser. Do not buy for trends, especially when purchasing furniture, because in a few years time it will be out of fashion and you'll have wasted hard earned money. Buy for love. Treat your personal style like a relationship - go for the real deal, not a one night stand.

This is quite fun. On my style journey I have spent countless hours on Pinterest, reading design books and stalking instagram. There are plenty of style gurus who have such wonderfully varied styles so I guarantee you will find someone that will light a spark in your style soul. For me, it's Abigail Ahern and Megan Morton. I've read their books and I follow them on Instagram. The key is not to copy someone else's style, but to use it aa launching board to develop your own. Also, get out and explore. Go to a museum. head to the flower markets. Do whatever it takes to get inspired.

I AM A SUCKER FOR BRIGHT COLOURS. INSTEAD OF BOWING TO BEAUTIFUL NORDIC TRENDS (WHICH I LOVE) I WANTED SOMETHING THAT I WOULD LOVE FOREVER IN MY NURSERY. THE WALL TAPESTRY CAN BE REUSED AS A THROW IN THE CARAVAN LATER ON.
