What is the difference between a house and a home? A house is an impersonal space with walls, a floor and furniture, whereas, to me, a home cultivates life, family, a place to make memories and for beautiful chaos to run rampant. Whether it's just you or a family of 12, a home really is the heart of day to day life. Yet often we neglect this sacred temple that we house ourselves in, and I'm not talking about on trend styling. Is rustic in? Let me wash a billion spaghetti sauce jars so I can stick candles in them. Oh now it's monochromatic? Excuse me whilst I eradicate any colour from my home and replace it with minimalistic black and white accessories. Somewhere amongst all of that I lost myself and my style. So here are three basic guidelines I have come up with as I try to rediscover my own style.
