About Us
The CIM Maintenance , Engineering and Reliability Society ( MER ) is composed of professionals from mining companies and other related mining sector organizations .
MER provides a forum for new and proven ideas , best practices , and leadership to add value and sustainability in the mining sector .
We serve as a resource , networking and support body for the all in the mining sector including students in professional schools and all those starting in their fields .
We promote improvement of maintenance , engineering and reliability standards , best practices and innovation . We recognize and award excellence in maintenance , engineering and reliability
What do we do ?
Activities : �
Support and work with the CIM National for the benefit of society and the mining sector .
� Organize MEMO with other Societies , Branches and CIM National .

Provide leadership and guidance in the development of the annual CIM Conference and MEMO Technical Programs . Promote and solicit abstracts and technical papers , Chair , and / or present at the conferences
Provide Peer Review of Technical Papers for Publication in the CIM Journal
Administer award and scholarship programs
� Develop initiatives to meet member ’ s needs : Professional Development Timtalks . co ( webinars ) MER Newsletter / eMagazine
Scholarships : All scholarships $ 2,500.00 each

Awards : � McParland Memorial Award � Graduate Student Research Excellence Award ( Up to $ 2,500.00 to cover costs to present paper at CIM or MEMO Conferences )
