In conjunction with il Cockta e of th Month! The Cocktail Menu The White Horse By Aaron Godfrey, Head Bartender, Boho in Weymouth "Weymouth has always had a way of mucking things up on a spectacular level. As well as being the harbour that brought the Black Death into England in 1348, we also managed to displease King George III. In 1808 a grand 323ft hill figure was crafted to celebrate the King’s love for the town. Unfortunately, the image depicted the King riding away from the town instead of towards it. His majesty took offence and never returned. A bit of an over reaction if you ask me. At Boho we'd like to make a formal apology to George III and encourage him to return and try a Dorset drink made for a King, though it may be 208 years too late. Boho has always strived to be ahead of the game locally. I started here in 2012 and the amount of wonderful drink delights from all around the world inspired my career as bartender. Boho is the trendsetter of Weymouth – many bartenders who have worked here have gone on to work in some of the best bars in the world. Though we often look at amazing spirits and beers from all across the globe, we never overlook the amazing products that originate on our own Dorset doorstep." Recipe Ing redients 25mm Black Cow Vodka 25mm Conker Dorset Dry Gin 12.5mm elderflower cordial 25mm single cream 1/2 fresh lemon Egg white That's the Spirit Black Cow Vodka & Conker Spirit T his recipe uses equal measures of two of our most celebrated local spirits. Black Cow Vodka is the world’s only pure milk vodka, invented by West Dorset dairy farmer Jason Barber. His 250 cows and green rolling pasture help give it a smooth, rounded character and creamy taste. It’s good to sip straight or over ice with any mixer. Conker Spirit is Dorset’s first gin distillery, set up in 2014 by Rupert Holloway. Their Dorset Dry is a classic gin that uses local botanicals – gorse flowers, samphire and elderberries – for a bright and refreshing taste. It’s smooth when sipped and versatile enough for any cocktail. Method Shake and fine strain into a stemmed glass. Ga r nish Using the lemon peel.
