For eight years , the Menachem Education Foundation has directed a teacher training program that seeks to professionally train and recruit qualified and dedicated new teachers in the pedagogical skills necessary to succeed in the classroom . As it evolved since its founding in 2008 , the Teacher Induction Program ( TIP ) incorporated the most effective educational techniques that directly impact improved outcomes in the classroom .
Today , 151 graduates in 40 + schools are proof that professional development has a direct impact on student learning .
When we focus on teachers , our students succeed .
“ The encouragement and guidance I received from my mentor , coupled with the insightful academies , were an incredible support in the challenges that I faced as a first year teacher . My mentor went out of his way to create an open and comfortable relationship which served as the base for our year long journey of introspection , recognition , evaluation and implementation .”– Rabbi Yitzchok Klein , 4th Grade , Oholei Menachem
To best provide expert coaches aligned with TIP ’ s mission , MEF develops Teacher Coaching Program , bringing quality mentor training under MEF ’ s umbrella and aligning the programs for optimal results .

“ TIP opened my eyes to a world of tools and techniques that I could use and develop to become a much more effective teacher . TIP laid out a roadmap to classroom excellence and gave us the opportunity to discuss the techniques , to internalize them , and to practice them in the work that we do both in the TIP classroom and in our own classrooms . I ’ ve seen tremendous change in how I approach my class on a daily basis as a result of the program .”– Mrs . Zeldy Friedman , High School , Bais Rivkah
MEF is now looking to expand TIP ’ s successful formula and offer it to schools worldwide through professional development workshops and online classes aligned with TIP standards .

The Teacher Induction Program for Women is launched worldwide in an online classroom , with Mrs . Chana Rose directing . Both the men ’ s and the women ’ s programs become eligible for NCCRS Accreditation .
For the first time , the men ’ s TIP allows teachers to participate from around the world by going virtual in a live , interactive online classroom . MEF develops TIP standards that incorporates all of its previous strategies directly into a four-part curriculum .
TIP Standards In the summer of 2016 , the Teacher Induction Program directors restructured the curriculum with distinct standards to ensure that teacher participants graduate the program with the tools they need to pursue a lifelong career in Jewish education . The revamped program focuses on four main domains :
• The Teacher , a Torah-inspired educator
• The Teaching , lesson planning and delivery
• The Student , classroom management and student rapport
• The Learning , standards and assement Each teacher is matched with a TCP-trained coach who is trained in these standards , allowing the mentors to provide structure and support for their mentee and empower them to master the skills needed to excel in the classroom .
