My favorite TV shows are Doctor Who, Sherlock, Downton Abbey, and Once Upon A Time. They are each my favorite for very different reasons but I love them especially because I watch them with my mom and the rest of my family. I was actually introduced to Doctor Who by my Freshman Geometry teacher during TAKS week. While most teachers were showing Finding Nemo, Mr. Campbell decided to show us episodes from the new season of Doctor Who. My friend Sofia and I were hooked. The show is witty, heartfelt, adventurous, and has great plot twists. I did not start watching Sherlock until the third season came out this year but I am so glad that I did. Benedict Cumberbatch in the role of Sherlock Holmes in modern times is hilarious the way the he has legitimately no normal human emotion but somehow has this amazing friendship with John Watson. The show has great twists and turns, leaving the audience wondering what will happen next and who will reappear. Downton Abbey is the show that I can watch for hours and not be sick of the beautiful cinematography, outfits, and subtle (or sometimes not so subtle) wit among the members of the house and staff. The show includes scandal and heartbreak but also touching family moments in what seems to be a stiff English home. The only problem with Downton is it is a tear jerker.
