These four years have been extremely challenging but also very rewarding. One of the best progressions that I have seen within myself is that I have become a lot more calm when it comes to grades and accomplishing things. I try my best but I don’t have an emotional break down if I have a B. This brings me back to Freshman year. This was the year when I was still figuring out what high school was all about. One of my regrets is not doing more clubs freshman year when I had more free time that in retrospect I now know existed. Freshman year I continued in choir under the direction of Mrs. Juneau and Mr. Clark. Our freshman choir was combined and often unruly but we had some special moments especially when we went to Dallas and then our bus broke down on the way home. Emily and I ended up buying a loaf of bread and jars of peanut butter and jelly from a sketchy gas station and making sandwiches for people on the bus, most of whom were seniors, we were the cool freshman for the next few months. Sophomore year brought many sleepless nights with the onset of WHAP, many tears were shed as I balanced choir, cross country, and all my classes.
