ACCA ART BAR Co-presented with Australian Centre for Contemporary Art & Two Bright Lakes SPEED PAINTERS FRIDAY 22 NOVEMBER 6 PM – 9.30 PM ACCA Commissioned as part of the Unilever Series and originally shown in the Tate Modern’s Turbine Hall, FILM is a largescale installation which points to the history and legacy of movie technology. Dubbed by art critic Rosalind Krauss as a ‘surreal visual poem’, FILM pays tribute to techniques long forgotten. The night will also see you revelling in ‘slo-mo’ disco beats courtesy of Melbourne’s Speed Painters, and swigging back the happy-hour drinks with $5 beer and wine from 6 to 7pm.
