Shimmy-shaking and samba-swaying their way into The Residence for one hell of a closing party, RBMA present a 12-hour afro-tropical extravaganza. Music lovers will be transported to an African paradise, hypnotized by the unique sounds of Awesome Tapes from Africa (USA) – a zany party-mix created from Brian Shimkovtiz’s collection of cassette music, sourced from all over the diaspora, while the Invisible City DJs (CAN) serve up a mix of afro-disco, dance ?oor calypso and deep island soul ballads. A jaw-dropping line-up of international and local acts will also take to the stage, keeping the rhythm going from midday to midnight with a concoction of tribal house, contemporary African funk and after-hours soul. Providing a platform for the movers and shakers of today’s industry, RBMA presents Tako Reyenga (NLD), Jamie Bennett & Julien Love, DJ Manchild, Public Opinion Afro Orchestra, Broadway Sounds, Kano vs Ennio Styles with Elvis Aljus on percussion, Kirkis, Andras Fox, and No Zu.
