FREE EVENT 18+ SMALLTOWN Co-presented with Novel SHED (GER) ANDY STOTT (UK) EDD FISHER MIKE CALLANDER ADRIAN BELL SUNDAY 17 NOVEMBER 8 PM – 1 AM THE RESIDENCE Taking over The Residence for the ?rst Sunday of MMW, smalltown presents two sound artists whose quiet achievements have been very nearly overshadowed by their own aliases. Berlin producer Rene Pawlowitz, better known as SHED and bettered by his discography, will be joined by Manchester’s Andy Stott, (aka Andrea) who is responsible for music you can slowly sink your teeth into. In 2008, peers and the clergy of Resident Advisor anointed SHED with album of the year. Following this success came more albums, praise and debate as to whether SHED’s sound was the treasure of Berlin and he, the prince of Berghain. Similarly, Andy’s 2012 album, Luxury Problems, attracted critical acclaim from both Pitchfork and Resident Advisor. With support from local DJs Edd Fisher and Mike Callander, this will be a night of intoxicating sound, traversing the spectrum from bright, bouncing rhythms to deep bass gloom.
