These are services available from OTT challengers and, increasingly, from pay-TV incumbents anxious to prevent cord shaving or cutting. TV Everywhere is a new world of choice for consumers and a whole world of challenges for providers. As premium services are ported from cloud CDNs to unmanaged devices, bandwidth, workflow, multiple streams, multiple DRMs, content security and device reliability all become major issues for service providers. And all in the context of TV Everywhere provision being free or near free to the subscriber. How will providers and their technology suppliers rise to the challenge? Can TV Everywhere be developed from a service enhancement to a profit centre? What are the next steps for high quality, reliable TV Everywhere provision.
