Leading companies in the health care industry rely
on trade shows as a major part of their marketing
efforts, and Roche Diagnostic Systems (RDS), an
affiliate of Hoffmann-La Roche, is no exception.
When Roche began planning a series of trade
show appearances to promote their leading-edge
laboratory analysis products, they chose Media
Matrix to help them reach trade show audiences
with a memorable, interactive exh bit.
With the bold marketing directive “Challenge
Your Vision,” Media Matrix was charged with the
creation of a complete “Roche Experience” for
attendees visiting the Roche booth at various
trade shows, particularly at the prestigious
American Association for Clinical Chemists
(AACC) and Clinical Laboratory Management
Association (CLMA) conferences. It was clear
from the outset that Roche wanted an experience
which transcended even the most elaborate of
“traditional” trade show exhibits, while providing
accurate levels of demographic prospect “tracking”
to support their sales efforts.
Media Matrix was responsible for the total booth
design and construction from the carpet to the
display pieces to all media elements. Working
from scratch, the Media Matrix production team
designed, wrote, and developed a complete
multi-media experience combining audio, video,
video projection, interactive computer-based
kiosks, lighting and several other peripheral
