Media Matrix recently produced the Covance
Global Town Hall meeting for the 5th straight
year—a unique event that was unlike any Town
Hall meeting before. In fact, the program may have
even been a “first” in global teleconferencing
meeting history due to the unusual location of
the telecast.
The unique aspect of the program wasn’t that the
meeting was beamed live via satellite to Covance
facilities around the world—that’s commonplace
for this annual event. It wasn’t unique that the
meeting was a success, or that the 90-minute
broadcast went off without a hitch. That is, after
all, what Covance, a leading contract research
organization (CRO) in the pharmaceutical field, has
