It’s impressive enough that Media Matrix, a
full-service business communications firm, was
selected by the Southeastern Pennsylvania
chapter of the American Red Cross to put together
their Annual Report. An organization’s annual
report is their “best foot forward,” requiring skillful
presentation and communications techniques to
paint a flattering portrait. But Media Matrix wanted
to go beyond the traditional printed document.
They convinced the Red Cross that the time was
right for a new kind of annual report—an interactive
CD-ROM that offered greater advantages over a
traditional printed report.
“We could have produced a high-quality,
traditional annual report in the medium of print,”
said Media Matrix President Michael Olenski. “But
the Red Cross needed something different this
year. In light of the funding crunch that is affecting
many non-profit organizations across the country,
they were seeking a “better, faster, less expensive”
