Events
The TRADE has built out its event
business across the globe in recent
years, hosting events across Europe,
North American and Asia, and continued
developing our proprietary and bespoke
events throughout 2018.
The TRADE produces a mix of panel
discussions, full-day conferences and
bespoke events throughout the year,
covering the biggest topics facing the
industry.
Our audience comprises of buy-side
traders, sell-side providers and a mix of
technology firms, consultants and more.
In 2018 we worked with NEX Group and
Plato Partnership on bespoke events
in London, as well as a half-day series
of panels on the ETF markets. The
TRADE also ran a number of webinars
on topics including reporting for MiFID
II, surveillance solutions for regulatory
compliance and using machine learning for
smarter trading decisions.

Following on from our previous full-
day events – MiFID II: Checklist MiFID
II: Check In – prior to and shortly after
the regulation coming into force, The
February 2019
TRADE will be hosting a series of panel
sessions dissecting how the first year
of operations under the new regime. The off-the-
record discussion will pinpoint where progress is being
made, what issues are still holding back buy-side
traders and what the sell-side providers can do to
help. Sponsorship opportunities are available for the
whole event or individual panels.

The TRADE’s Rising Stars of Trading & Execution Awards is back for a fourth
year, recognising up-and-coming talent currently working in a trading function.
Award winners will be selected following extensive market research by an
executive panel of senior industry figures, former Rising Stars, and The
TRADE’s editorial team.
Consideration will be given to nominees’ day-to-day role in the business, career path to date,
and involvement in industry initiatives.
Winners will be invited to the TRADE’s Rising Stars Awards event in November, as well as
invited to our exclusive Leaders in Trading Awards at The Savoy in London.
