Lag B’Omer was “Magical” for the Toddlers and Nursery 1-3 classes. After the
Nursery 4 and Kindergarten groups were sent on their Lag B’Omer trips, we began
ours right here in MDS.
Our day started with a kumzitz- sing along led by Morah Karen. The children sang all their favorite songs, both the lively ones and the relaxed, gentle old favorites. After the Kumzitz, we gathered together once again, for a magical- magic show. The children loved watching Magic Chris and his sidekick, Jeff the Chef , as they performed one magic trick after another. He had help from the audience as they shouted the magic words “abra cadabra”. Magic Chris invited some of our student volunteers to join him and help with some of the tricks. Even some of the Morot got into the act.
We met once again in our playground under the bright blue sky for a picnic lunch. Of course no celebration is complete without ice cream cones for dessert!
