American Friends of Leket Israel is pleased to announce its first ever float design contest for the 50th Anniversary Celebrate Israel Parade on June 1, 2014. Leket Israel provides fresh, rescued food (that would otherwise be destroyed) to over 140,000 poor Israelis per week—children, Holocaust survivors, the working poor, new immigrants and Israelis of all races and religious backgrounds. Leket Israel is the only organization rescuing food en masse for Israel’s poor—over 26 million lbs. annually!
We would love for Manhattan Day School to participate in the contest. Deadline April 1st.
