Welcome to
NEW GERMANY
Welcome to the City of New Germany, a small
rural community of about 425 people, located in
the northwestern corner of Carver County. New
Germany is part of School District 110.
New Germany’s fi re department, formed in
1901, is 116 years old. Every year in August, the fi re
department hosts an annual softball tournament
for area fi re departments. Teams from Hennepin,
Wright, Scott, McLeod, and Carver counties
participate in this event. The fi re department is
always looking for new members, men or women.
If interested, please contact the city offi ce for more
information.
In the City of New Germany we have many
beautiful parks. We have the baseball and softball
parks, along with horseshoes, Gazebo Park, and
Tower Park. Many of the parks have playgrounds.
In 2017, our local baseball team, the New Germany
Dutchmen, hosted the regional tournament for the
Crow River Valley League.
New Germany also has the Commercial Club,
which is a great group of people who host many
events in the city, including National Night Out,
Easter egg hunt, kids Halloween party, breakfast
with Santa, and many events at the City Park.
