How do you come up with ideas for your work? Ideas for my seasonal creations come in dreams. I dream entire fash ion show productions that have all my designs on the runway. Elegant, dramatic and whimsical are the three words that describe my designs for the vast range of my creations. While executing a design, it begins to take on a life of its own. When I finish I say "Thank you Lord,” because I don't know where that design came from. What else inspires you? My greatest inspirations in life are music, nature, especially birds and flowers, and oddly the sky. I can sit outside just staring at the sky and come up with so many ideas. They seem to never end. My morning prayer time and connecting with nature are ingredients in life I also consider to be inspirational. Who is wearing your hats? My designs are worn by hundreds of women in the Las Vegas Valley. They are very popular with the Dress for Success “Little Black Dress Club” and The Chapeau Society, several private tea groups and many church attendees. Social groups who travel to Delmar for opening day are also my clients as well as an awardwinning journalist in New Orleans who shows them off at the finest eateries in the city. My hats are also highlighted yearly in the Historic French Quarter Easter Parade in New Orleans. What’s on your calendar of future events?
