Rawlins County hosted first Invitational Dog Show!
Members of the Rawlins County 4-H Dog project hosted the first annual Spring Dog Show on Saturday April 29th at the Rawlins County Fairgrounds.
This show included Showmanship, Obedience and Agility classes. The 4-H Dog Project has seen a marked increase in enrollment and participation over the past several years. A big thank you to all the local businesses who donated to our project this year. The Dog Project was fortunate to receive a $5,000 Hanson Grant through ACE Foundation to purchase dog agility obstacles and become a state qualifying show. When 4-H members earn enough blue ribbons in state qualifying shows they meet the requirements to enter the Kansas State Fair. Qualifying shows are limited in the northwest region and Rawlins County is proud to offer our area youth this opportunity!
