Letter from the Editor Put away your winter wear and break out the shorts and sun screen; spring has arrived, and if you can make it through the wind and allergies, it’s a great time to be in Las Vegas. As we all know, we need to enjoy the weather while we can because the heat will be coming soon. So with spring in mind, I hope you enjoy the May issue. This time of year marks the start of outdoor parties and gath- erings in Las Vegas. It’s the season of weddings, graduations and pool parties. Having the right combination of outdoor furnishings is essential. Our Favorite Things (pg 30) article introduces you to some of the newest and coolest things to make your outdoor space the envy of the block, whether by the pool, lounge area, yard or bar. With so much going on in the coming months it can be tough to find time to slow down. And for most, that’s when you need it most! There is, however, a place just a half hour drive from southeast Las Vegas that’s the perfect oasis to have a fun, relaxed and peaceful day. In our Livin’ Local (pg 42) article we’ll take you to the storied, yet tranquil town of Boulder City. With shopping, museums, wildlife and a righteous brewery to enjoy, it’s a great place to unwind. With bathing suit weather right around the corner, now is the time to shed those winter pounds, but the question is what diet to use. Our information on diets seems to change all the time, so what really works to get rid of that extra weight? We explore a new, science backed trend in our Mind, Body and Soul (pg 68) article that looks at the benefits of Intermittent Fasting. It’s an interesting new way to diet that seems to burn more fat, helping you to lose weight and keep it off permanently. I hope you enjoy the May issue. There is a lot going on the next few months. Make sure you check our Circle the Date section (pg 56) or go online to www.zipcodemagazines.com so you don’t miss out. As always thanks for your support and I look forward to seeing you in the neighborhood. Greg GREG WAGONSELLER Editor-in-Chief greg@ppplv.com
