Very often, there can be an
expectation of self-betrayal
as a way of demonstrating
just how close we are to her.
And though children may
want to make her happy,
they may also have to pay a
price to do so. This is why it’s
so imperative that mothers
and women be powerful and
direct in their own right, with
no betrayal or “blind loyalty”
needed as a way of showing
love. Historically, women for
countless generations had to
exert their power indirectly
in order to be felt or heard.
But for our next generation’s
sake, as well as our own,
let’s break that pattern of
the past so that we all may
enjoy a more fulfilling and
empowered future.
We Are Our
Ancestors’
Dreams Come
True
Now, at the dawn of the
21st century, Mother Earth
hangs in the balance. She
may not need us, but we
surely need her. We need
her air, her water, her land,
and every resource she
abundantly provides. She
feeds us and clothes us from
infancy to old age. At the very
least, she deserves respect
and honor. She is the true
mother of us all.
Namaste to all
mothers and to our
beautiful home planet.
