If one has faith that God has a plan, then they only need to go with the flow and know that whatever is happening is not a mistake or an accident. “Life becomes a lot more fun when you can trust that everything happens for a reason.” Likening her abilities to a muscle, Rebecca shares that the more you work it, the stronger it can become. The more things that actually come to fruition and validate that what you are doing actually works, the more faith one can develop. “I have put in my 10,000 hours. This is not a belief. This is a knowing. I have seen too much and know too much to not know that this is real.” Having said that, Rebecca is quick to share that despite her ability, she will always be a student and that this is so much bigger than us that we cannot appreciate or fully comprehend its meaning in the span of a lifetime. THE CLAIRS Mediums have claircongnizance, which is a spectrum of abilities that are referred to as the “clairs.” The most common and well-known are clairvoyance, clairaudient, clairsentient, clairalience, and clairgustance. Clairvoyant is a person who can clearly see non-physical energies or auras. It is an “inner seeing” and can be a full blown premonition or precognition, but it is usually subtler than that. A clairvoyant might “see” a number or a color or even a symbol. Their meanings are not typically straightforward, but might be more cryptic.   Clairaudient is a person who can “hear” events occurring in non-physical dimensions or at great distances in the physical world. This is an “inner hearing,” not something you hear with your ears. Clairaudients hear music, names, words, noises, and voices that others cannot physically perceive.   Clairsentient mediums feel the surrounding energies and non-physical consciousness. Sensations like overwhelming joy or sadness and other emotions, or sensations like cold and hot, tingling, or pokes. Clairsentients can be extremely empathic and become overwhelmed or drained when others feel sad, angry, or elated. These empathies are good at detecting lies, fear, and physical ailments of others.   Clairalience is the ability to smell things like the perfume of a loved one who has passed.   Clairgustance is the ability of tasting something that is not actually in your mouth that signals the presence of a spirit. eydismedia.com 21
