Tim Morris was born in Birmingham, AL. He moved with his family to Mobile when he was 16. After high school he attended the University of South Alabama where he earned a B.A. in English with an emphasis in Creative Writing. While in college he met his wife, artist Suzanne Cooper Morris. In 1996, shortly after their wedding, they moved to Atlanta, GA.

Today, Tim lives with his family (his wife, their two beautiful and talented daughters, and a bevy of four legged critters) just north of Atlanta on their humble estate, Withering Cedars, and teaches American Literature at a public high school in Northwest Georgia.

When he’s not teaching, he is hiking the North Georgia Mountains, writing poetry, taking pictures, playing music, or watching his daughters at soccer or Taekwondo. Tim’s poetry has been featured in a number of online and print journals and he has self-published a handful of chapbooks.
