potential is important, which is
why I find your magazine to be
a great help when it comes to
finding the latest products.

The article, “Foliar Feeding: Another Successful Way
of Feeding Plants” (November 2014) lacks verification
in terms of what degree of plant response can be
obtained when a nutrient element insufficiency occurs
that is to be corrected by means of foliar feeding.
Most who face such an insufficiency normally turn
to things other than foliar feeding as a means of
correction. My experience has shown that nutrient
element insufficiencies cannot be corrected by foliar
feeding; aside from a few micronutrients, correction can
occur with only improbable results. The movement of an
element from cell to cell is a slow process and is affected by
various factors. In my opinion, if foliar feeding was a successful
way of feeding plants, it would be more widely practiced.
