Jeff and Jill Parish may have only recently stepped into the
retail hydroponics world, but the couple, who became business partners last June when they opened Little Heck’s
Hydroponics & Organic Supply in Saratoga Springs, New York,
have been growing together a lot longer than that. Jill, formerly a manager with a wireless technology company, has been
an avid plant and flower grower for years and Jeff, who has
worked for the Wilton Water and Sewer Authority for the past
15 years and counting, has about 20 years’ experience growing
plants hydroponically in his greenhouses at home. “Since the
two of us have green thumbs, we wanted to get into an industry we love,” explains Jill. The pair had been saving for years to
