Tell us about the Nanolux Cloud Control System.
The Nanolux Cloud Control System is the next
step in automating your growroom. We are
exclusive providers of cloud-based lighting
and environmental control software,
known as the Nanolux Cloud Control
System or NCCS. The NCCS
eliminates the use of timers in the
growrooms and there is no need
to daisy chain lights together.
The system provides a complete
solution to control lighting and
the environment in a growroom,
allowing for precision control of
all devices in a growroom through
a simple and intuitive computer
software program. At the heart of the
NCCS is a software program that allows
you to specify all of the parameters
for your lighting and environmental
control settings in your room. The program
is downloaded from your computer to the DTU
(data transfer unit). The DTU is the brain of the system and
communicates and controls all of the selected functions in
the growroom through wireless modem communications.
The DTU controls lighting ballasts and environmental
control devices by communicating wirelessly with individual
RTU (remote terminal unit) USB devices. The NCCS system
allows for precision control of your lighting system with
dimming, multiple lighting areas and high-temperature
dimming features along with fan control. Nanolux will be
adding CO2 functions, humidity and temperature control,
pH and nutrient control, pump control and remote camera
features to the NCCS in the near future. The NCCS apps will
be launching soon for smartphones.

What makes the Nanolux team
so special?
Nanolux has a brand new sales team with
seven reps on the ground around the
US. Each member of the team has been
involved with retail shops, gardening,
sales management and product design
and sourcing for many years. Having
reps who have worked in the stores
and know how the industry works from
a store level up gives us knowledge
about what really goes on in stores and
what stores and end users need from the
reps while in the field. It also lets us give
superior customer service. Employees who
are passionate about gardening believe in
the products that they use in the garden. Frazer
Love, our southeast sales rep, runs a CSA under the
name Perpetual Harvest in Athens, Georgia, and I, Emily
Walter, sales manager, have a weekly radio show about urban
gardening on dfzradio.com.
