Nanolux Technology, an industry leader in the manufacturing of horticultural ballasts, is known for introducing the original nano-style ballast to the indoor gardening marketplace. Emily Walter, the company’s national sales manager, tells Maximum Yield why the team is so special, and what makes Nanolux products unique. Tell us a bit about Nanolux Technology. Nanolux Technology, Inc. is a company that specializes in electronic ballasts, lighting, environmental controls and commercial-grade, double-ended (DE) HPS lighting. The first Nanolux ballast was launched in 2011 and sold through hydroponic distributors. Nanolux Technology introduced the original nano-style ballast into the marketplace. The nano ballast is the smallest and lightest ballast on the market, weighing in at 3.5 lb. for a 1,000-W digital ballast while still packing the same punch as the traditional ballasts 158 Maximum Yield USA  |  January 2015 that were the industry standard at the time. The company’s US headquarters are in Petaluma, California. The US team includes 13 full-time employees—seven reps, one engineer, support staff and the management team.
