GSE Algebra II Course Description: Algebra II is the culminating course in a sequence of three high school courses designed to ensure career and college readiness. It is designed to prepare students for fourth course options relevant to their career pursuits. It requires students to:  Solve quadratic equations using various methods  Perform operations with complex numbers  Analyze, solve & graph polynomial functions of higher degree  Extend the properties of exponents to rational exponents  Solve & graph exponential & logarithmic functions  Solve a variety of equations and inequalities numerically, algebraically and graphically  Perform operations with polynomials & rational expressions  Solve problems by interpreting a normal distribution as a probability distribution  Graph radical, rational, absolute value, and piecewise functions  Design and conduct experimental and observational studies  Summarize, represent, and interpret data on a single count or measurement variable Pre-requisites: Successful completion of GSE Geometry Grade Levels: 10-12 Terms Offered: Fall & Spring Units of Credit: 1.0 Quality Points: 0.0
