Participating as GEP Minister for Environment and Representative of Australia was a truly inspiring experience. Everyone who spoke in the Parliament shared their expertise and wisdom with the attendees, including various government leaders and dignitaries.

Students were passionate about the issues they spoke on and expressing their determination to make our world a better place. Their enthusiasm and knowledge gave me a great deal of hope for a better future.

The following day, along with some of the EU Members, I was treated to a LTC Yoga class by Susanne Seeling- Zauskewitz, LTC teacher from Germany. HH Swamiji also taught a portion of the class, which included philosophy and practice in chanting profound healing mantras.

We were all very well looked after and often fed with home cooked Indian meals, by Swamiji’s brother, Sanal Kumar and his family.

On my last day, I had the great pleasure of visiting the Isa Viswa Vidyalayam School with His Holiness Jagadguru Swami Isa, where I donated set of encyclopaedia for their school library.

Visiting this Education for Total Consciousness (ETC) school for the second time (first in 2010) and seeing the expressions of appreciation on all the student’s faces brought tears of joy to my eyes. Before I departed, I walked through the hall and talked to each of the students, connecting with them from the heart.
